The Route One Corridor has an existing, important residential footprint. By adding mixed-use opportunities to existing commercial areas Westerly can encourage integration with the development of neighborhood character and charm of Westerly across the Corridor.  This will add “community” and “place” to the convenience of local businesses and services for residents and commerce alike.

  • Predominantly single-family Housing in sporadic locations.

  • Housing is not well integrated with commercial areas.


  • Promote mixed use on appropriate parcels or locations.

  • Provide better integration and make connections to existing residential neighborhoods.


The Route One Corridor Plan development is in process. We look forward to your assistance helping us to refine, define, and implement the plan.
